Thunderhill Race Report August 2009

Steven Ferrario leads a pack of SpecE30s in his first career NorCal win .

Thirteen NorCal SpecE30 racers were at Thunderhill in August.  Saturday's standing start race saw season points leader Donny Edwards (Team Brimstone Dynasty) take the top podium spot, followed by Steve Ferrario, and Scott Neville. On Sunday,  Sunday's pole sitter was Steve Ferrario who battled the entire race for first with Greg Peterson.  Steve prevailed and took his first win of the season, with Greg Peterson in second and Scott Neville in third.  The Evil Genius Racing $100 cash "Hard Charger" award went to Rich Safreno of Team Matco Racing. Season points leaders to date are Team Brimstone Dynasty in first with 987 points, BTM Motorwerks in second with 814 points and Scott Neville in third with 806 points.  The next race will be cross-over event with So Cal NASA at Buttonwillow in October.
